While visiting Thunder Bay Ontario it was recommended that I check out McKellar Confectionary, to sample their “famous” hotdogs. Many say that this place is an “institution”.
You may be asking why I overused quotes in those last two sentences. Well I just wanted to be sure that you knew exactly what other people had told me. They are in fact statements from other people and they are in fact true.
However one should note that the words tasty, yummy, or even edible are not ever mentioned. That’s because the hotdogs where in fact totally gross. The milkshake was ok, and that’s great because I needed it to wash down these hotdog atrocities.

I love Coney Island hot dogs, maybe these ones where just particularly gross. You have to try some in New York to get the real deal.
I've always wanted to try a real Coney Island Dog, or even go to Coney Island but I've never made it on any of my trips to NY. I have to make it a priority.

You should have had the hamburgers....that coney sauce has been around for like 40 years...the original owner Gus made it best...now it's left to his son and wife I believe....not quite as good but almost every kid in TB grew up on McKellar burgers.....
