Fruit or Not Fruit

I picked up this strange little container of "Fruit Slices" at my local dollar store the other day and one question comes to mind.
Exactly what kind of fruit is it? Or at the very least, what kind of fruit is it pretending to be?

Maybe if you squint a little. As it turns out this can contains bits of dried mango... coloured to please the palette?

UPDATE! I just cracked it open and decided to munch on some of the dried fruit goodness and I discovered that it's not very good at all.
