Are Strawberries Emasculating?

When strawberries and sweet treats mix, I find there's a strange result.  Of all of the fruits, strawberry treats seem to come across to me as being the most feminine.  The fruit itself is not necessarily feminine, but many of the marketing trends in the sweet world seem to link it with non-masculine ideas.
Take our friend Frankenberry here, he represents the strawberry flavoured cereal in a monster line of cereals.  His nails are red, he's pink, and he's (in my opinion) the least masculine of all of the other monster cereal mascots.  I could just be projecting my own image, but this is what I see.
Most chocolate bars that feature strawberries are covered in pink packages and often feminine attitude.  It's not just in the packaging either, often strawberry treats are lightly whipped and pink in colour.
I don't think I'm over reacting to the pink issue either.  After all, strawberries are not pink, they're red, so why does the candy industry always make it pink.  Cherries are red, raspberries are read, apples are red, why are strawberries always associated with pink.  And why do they tie the pink colour into the packaging and always give it a feminine feel.
I guess what I'm looking for is a candy company to produce a treat that is red, masculine (or at the very least gender neutral), and strawberry flavoured.
