Japan’s Cold Stone

Here in Japan they have all kinds of western chains that you’d find all over the US and Canada. They often have some of the same things one might find at their western counterparts but often with a bit of a twist.

For example Cold Stone Creamery still has their crazy mixed up flavours, fancy cones, and they still mix up the flavours on a marble slab. (For those that have never tried Cold Stone I recommend giving it a shot).

However here in Japan you have another option for your treat. If you can have your crazy mixed up ice cream creation in a cup filled with Jelly. They offer two flavours of Jelly Raspberry and Mango.

It’s pretty good too. When I was a kid I used to love ice cream and Jello and that’s pretty much what this is. The cream and Jelly work really well together and although it might look a little strange when you get to the bottom the taste and texture are great.
