Hard? I didn’t know mine was soft.

While walking the streets of Kichijoji I came across a donut shop that had a constant stream of people coming in and out.

All I could tell from the sign (due to my lack of being able to read Japanese) is that they sold something called “Hard Donuts”. I could also tell after walking in that they made said donuts in the store fresh.
I picked up a sugar one and was pleasantly surprised. It’s kind of the same density as a sour cream donut only it’s not as heavy and not nearly as sweet. It’s a nice change of pace from your standard donuts.
