I’ve got a lot of update type things on my mind right now

I’ve been writing like a fiend trying to get some work out and it’s not going exactly as planned. I’ve also been thinking about Christmas, and more importantly I’ve been out Christmas shopping. So all I have to say is my mind is a little out of it right now. On a good note I managed to find a few treats to try out over the holidays that I’ve never tasted before, so a cool review is in the cards for Christmas. Well enjoy this weeks review.

What do I Want?

Christmas is coming and I’m starting to get e-mails from candy folks about the treats they have in store. I’m also still on the fence about what treat to review for the holidays. The number of “new treats” has diminished in the last few years so I’m searching for something new and it’s not easy.

Truck full of chips

I wonder how many chips they can fit on each truck. Just something I think about.

Revieeeewww in Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!!!

Hey it’s update day and I didn’t use the words “update day” in the title. It could be because I’ve been super busy all week and I’m looking forward to another busy week ahead. It doesn’t mean that I won’t give you crazy folks a review, because that would be just cruel. Also I’ll be keeping an eye open for any new Christmas treats over the next little while because I have to pick this years Christmas review.

A trip to TNT grocery store

No trip to TNT would be complete without seeing a few products that boggle the imagination.
This tuna spread is the choice of all the “Laaaaadies” (ladies said in about the creepiest way ever)
Two questions: Why would I buy sweat when I make enough of it? And even if I did need to buy it what the heck is a “pocari”?

Ladies and Gentlemen: I present to you what might be the best idea ever in the history of mankind... Cheese ice cream. I love food.

Website Roundup

The folks at M&Ms can now put your face on their candies. I wonder if it has to be your “face”.

Boing Boing has this great video of some chocolate fashion.

My friend David passed along this web site with instructions on how to make your own gummy Lego. Need I remind you how cool gummies are?

Wood you like a gumball?

This has got to be one of the coolest gumball machines I’ve ever seen. Check it out at the St Lawrence Market in Toronto. Drop and quarter in it and you won’t be disappointed.

All I can say it that I highly recommend that you try it if you ever have the means.

I just need focus

I’m in the thick of studying right now, and I’ve got papers due, I need a treat that can help me focus. I’ve had a few that claim to have brain improving powers, but I don’t know if anything can help me now. Even this weeks review didn’t help my brain, although new candy always raises my spirits.

You know what’s better than a chocolate fountain?..

A really big chocolate fountain! (Particularly if it looks kind of like the Stanley Cup.)

Hershey cookies!!!

The other day I got a package in the mail and it was from Hershey’s. They wanted me to try baking with Hershey Kisses so they sent some with some recipes.
We mixed all the ingredients they told us to add.
Balled them up around a Hershey’s kiss. Now it was time to put them in the oven. But how could I keep my fingers from burning?
With this awesome Hershey’s Kiss oven mitt.
I popped them in the oven and in 10 minutes…

I had yummy chocolate cookies all filled with chocolate. Allison had some too and with a few modifications hers were low carb.

Thanks Hershey’s!!!

The best Fudge in the world

Allison and I went to the “Royal Agricultural Winter Fair” and I was really happy that once again my favourite fudge company had a booth. Now I know it’s not as good as getting it at their main location in Niagara Falls but it’s still pretty good. Just a note for all those that manufacture fudge, I dare you to try and better these guys.

Slow this week

I’m taking it easy this week but I figure I’d post a few web sites I found recently. I’ve got a busy week ahead and I’m thinking some crazy candy adventures will be in the cards.

Boing Boing posted this great add for Swedish Fish. If you look back a few weeks you’ll see the commercial I posted and wonder what in the world is going on with these guys.

You might also want to know that plans are on the way for diet type Twinkies. Apparently they’re going for the smaller portion. Small portions are normally a great idea for those that want to watch what they eat, but I’m not sure if the Twinkie light will work.

I just ate some chocolate pudding, and it’s update day!

I’m kind of tired today with this whole clock changing thing. I’m also not really sure what time it actually is. I figure the best way to deal with this is to go to bed now and watch an episode or two of X-files. First I’ll finish updating the site with this week’s awesome review, but then I’m going straight to bed.
