Come one come all candy fans and see our newest project called Snack Facts!

Join Sir Francis Sweetums III and his sugar glider companion Barbara on epic adventures through the candy and snacking world. Using their time travelling tuk-tuk, they venture to seek out the history and stories of your favourite nibbles.

Each issue of Snack Facts is a micro comic that you can either buy in printed form, or download yourself. The downloadable version is easy, fun to make, and only requires one piece of paper to print it.  Best of all you can customize your issues of Snack Facts and make them as big or small as you please, or even print them off in black and white and colour them yourself. Pre-printed issues come signed and some even have hidden treasures.
Make sure to check out candycritic.org/snackfacts to learn more. You can also download issue 0 of Snack Facts for free.

This New Episode Of Junk Fud On The Road Deals With Tea And Trains

Sri Lanka was a pretty interesting place to visit. Food wise it had a really interesting vibe. The train snacks and the tea were amazing, the Sri Lankan food was hard to find.

Lots Going On, Including Today's New Review - Skittles "Dips"

This month has been a pretty intense month here at Candy Critic. First of all we're back in Canada. After a few years abroad, living in South East Asia, we're back home in our true north strong and free. The great thing about being back home is being able to catch up with all the new treats here, including today's new review, Skittles Dips.

The other fun thing is that we've been working on Snack Facts, our micro comic, and issue 0 is out. Best of all, issue 0 is totally free to download. Check out candycritic.org/snackfacts to download it and learn how to fold your very own micro comic.

Click here to check out the Skittles Dips review.

You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to see what we're up to back in Canada.

Check out our Patreon page too where you can maybe even score yourself some artwork from Snack Facts.

Time To Eat Cereal Out Of A Can In This Episode Of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!!

The worst part about this cereal in a can? It's actually the fact that it came out of a can, other than that it's not too bad.

It's Time To Think About Nougat - Vital Belgian Top Nougat

Nougat has always been a bit of an enigma to me. It's an ingredient found in many of my favourite treats, yet on its own I have trouble appreciating it. It's a really unique ingredient in the candy world, and I think it might become an obsession. Much like licorice and spicy foods, I want to develop an appreciation for nougat. The only way to do that is to sample as many nougats as I can. It might even call for me to try and make a few myself. To be honest, I don't even know all of the ingredients that go into a nougat.

Click here to read the review that made me think about nougat.

You can also follow candycritic.org on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to keep up with my quest to love nougat.

Also, be sure to download (for free) our very first micro comic, Snack Facts issue 0.

So Canada... Eh? - Cookies & Cream Slab

Normally when I post this Monday blog, I write about the new review we've just posted on candycritic.org. Today however I have something else to talk about. As you may or may not have known, I had been living for the last 3 years in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was a great place to be, and a really interesting place to get snacks. This past weekend however I left this fine city to head back to my home and native land, Canada. More specifically I'm now living in Ottawa. Well you could call it living, except for the fact that I'm still under quarantine and locked up in a small apartment until the government is fairly certain I don't have Covid 19.

I'm fine being locked up, it's giving me time to work on Snack Facts, and maybe work on a few blog posts as well. It's also giving me time to comb through the Canadian grocery store websites to plan out some of the treats that I'll sample now that I'm living in Canada again. I have to say, I'm pretty excited about some of the treats.

Also be sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to keep up with the quarantine and what's happening here in Canada.

You can also follow Candy Critic on Patreon where we just updated several of the tiers.
