The visit to The Candy Store

“Righting a candy wrong”. That’s the e-mail I received about a week ago from Katie who works at a little candy store here in Ottawa. She mentioned a blog I posted where I noticed this great looking candy store here in Ottawa and I was just never around while they where open.

Katie and the owner Diane invited me to come down for a private tour of the store to make sure I could check out their digs. I have to be honest, this place is not only one of the nicest stores I’ve ever been in, but their selection and philosophy about candy is dead on.

Our host Diane took us around her store talking the candy talk and making sure I got to try everything.
The place was filled with rare treats and even though it was only 10 in the morning I managed to sample a whole bunch.
The place looked absolutely amazing.
I love a candy store that mixes aesthetics with fine treats.
This idea of mixing the look with candy is pretty much my whole opinion about the candy world.
Best of all Diane was sure that I didn’t leave empty handed and gave me a whole truckload of treats to review. Thanks gang at The Candy Store!

I’m so jealous.

You don't have to be, you can always visit them yourself. Apparently they give out samples all the time.

This place looks great, but I live in the US. Any chance they're going to open one up south of the border?

That all depends on how many people visit the store in Ottawa I guess.
