Well that means that you’re old, but don’t feel bad because that just means that you have candy experience and it gives you the right to try the re-release of these 3 treats and complain about how they’re not exactly the same as they used to be.
Bacon Gumballs… I can’t say anything else that could possibly make this idea sound any better.
Andrew seems to be on an interesting adventure in Taiwan and he came across these little treats. “Taiwanese chewing gum -- forget Red Bull, this stuff will bite you in the ass.”
Apparently the cocoa crops are doing well this year, does that mean we might see a dip in price for chocolate bars?First of all I wouldn’t recommend that anybody even remotely squeamish watch this video. I’ve heard about restaurants that cook live fish and keep them alive and to be honest it just doesn’t seem right. I understand the need for freshness but really this just turns me off and I’m fairly adventurous with food.

Finally a relaxing day out that both Allison and I can completely agree on.
You can’t imagine the joy within my heart when I read the list of foods that apparently have some benefits to you. The fact that chocolate and ice cream are on the list is what really did it for me. Just for that, I’m gonna go get some chocolate ice cream, I’m eating healthy today.
While all of you American folks are munching down what could be the best meal of the year, remember this. There are people in New Zealand eating one of these.

I’ve always wanted to visit Colonial Williamsburg ever since I found out they have a flume. I love flumes.
Apparently they’re giving away free full size cans of Pringles Chips in New York during the Macy’s day parade.
I recently got myself a cool treat from the folks at Jelly Belly. I was going to review it but to be honest its more toy than candy so I figure a blog is more appropriate.
Let me clear one thing up, although it is more toy than treat it is an awesome toy that uses great treats to play. It’s pretty simple, you spin the spinner and a colour of Jelly Belly is selected. Each colour Jelly Belly has two flavour options one “good” and one “bad”. If the spinner lands on that treat than that’s the colour you have to eat.
The game was fun for all those participating. It’s like Russian roulette for your taste buds. There where a few surprises however, the toothpaste and baby wipes “bad” flavours actually turned out pretty nice. Also no one wanted to eat the black Skunk/Licorice Jelly Bellies because they thought both flavours were gross.
Apparently the Air Force in the US is looking to have chocolate sent overseas to the troops over the holidays. Apparently there’s a shortage of chocolate right now and it’s making the troops sad and no one wants to make a soldier cry.
I wonder if there’s a candy for every letter of the alphabet… wait a minute, I’ve eaten a candy from every letter of the alphabet. I checked the reviews and as it turns out “U” is the hardest to find. Great job Lisa!
Well Allison had to go out of town and her flight was supposed to leave really early. Then after checking the Internet (sometimes Internet I really love you) we found that her flight was delayed so we managed to catch an episode of the West Wing before she left. Now she’s gone and I can’t really go back to sleep so I figured now would be a great time to update with a new review. I’m getting tired again now so I think I’m going to hit the sack again. Enjoy the review and I’ll see you all in a couple of hours.
Sometimes all it takes a little rethinking and you can do better for the world while selling candy. Kraft has re-designed its distribution channels for delivery in order to save on gas and that can’t hurt the environment at all. Wonder who else could do this too?

According to ‘Candy and Snack Today’ there are some new flavours coming into popularity as of late. I like the idea of new flavours coming into fashion; I just doubt they’ll make it past the smaller candy companies into the mainstream candy market.
So apparently this guy drives around with a fake cup of coffee on his roof and tweets the reactions. I think I may have to try this but I’m going to go bigger and a little more style. I’m thinking a full on birthday cake.
Apparently there’s been some heavy research in the hopes of keeping chocolate around for a while. All I have to say is with my appetite that might be difficult.

Today Allison presented me with this bar and it has the most peculiar package. I think it’s a granola bar but it actually doesn’t say that it is anywhere on the package.

But even the ingredient list only references you to the box that it came in… I’m still not 100% sure this is a granola bar all I know is it isn’t a nutty one.
Apparently ‘Peeps’ have just been inducted into the Candy Hall of Fame. I’d like to be inducted into the Candy Hall of Fame but my centre is not creamy and delicious.
The folks at M&M are apparently offering free shipping for your personalized holiday M&Ms. Kind of a ego thing if you get a gift from someone and it’s a bag filled with M&Ms with their picture on it.
One of my secret passions in life is a bag of microwave popcorn. I love eating the stuff and I love it for all the wrong reasons. It’s not that it tastes at all better than real theatre or Allison’s home made popcorn, in fact it’s much worse and often 10 times more burnt. It’s just that it’s so easy to make, it tastes ok, and I don’t have to clean up afterwards.
The thing that makes it even better now is that its even whole grained… wait a minute, how does that work? You can’t pop un-whole grains of popcorn.

Yet another candy related illustration by Lisa and each time I’m totally impressed. I understand this piece but to be honest in my relationship I’m not really sure which truffle category I fall into.
They are yummy but not really my favourite oranges my favourite oranges have to be navel oranges, they’re really sweet. Blood oranges are ok in the taste factor but really the cool thing about them is the red pulp in the inside. These particular treats came to me from our great friends at the Candy Store here in Ottawa, so I want to thank them. Also it’s really cold outside and I don’t want to go out. Well that’s about it for random thoughts and reviews, have a nice day.

Rob Beschizza of Boing Boing decided to post a clear and concise review of what appears to be coffee flavoured yoghurt. Sometimes few words are needed.
Well I was hopping to have the book ready to go but honestly things for me got a lot more hectic than I imagined. I also took a lot longer to work on the images than I thought it would take. So I’m still working through the files but it just might take me a little while to get everything in order. I’ll keep you posted and hopefully have a new deadline ASAP.
If one box wasn’t enough, today I also got a box filled with Puredent gum as well.
It has a cool nametag telling me all about itself. That’s pretty informative for a pack of gum if you ask me.
The folks at Sucre sent me a sample of some holiday treats today and boy do they look yummy. 
They included a note thanking me for trying their treats and telling me all about the sale their having right now.
Best of all, the note is signed by a cute little puppy named Bon Bon.The only thing better than watching them is going through them… actually watching them is only marginally interesting to me, going through them is where it’s at.

Tim Horton’s has just released its new Danish Flavour, Pomegranate and Cheese and I’m really happy with the gesture.
I like the fact that they’re experimenting with new fruits and pushing the envelope. I just wish the cheese was a little thicker and the pomegranate didn’t taste like cherries.
