Well according to science, it's not a random choice. In fact science is looking into finding out exactly how we pick our favorites and what makes them our favorites, according to the article linked below. The article explains an experiment that several scientist took on to analyze how are brain works when it comes to choosing yummy treats. It sounds pretty cool, but I was disappointed that they never mention which treat was the most popular among their participants.
