In Lithuania there's a chain of burger places called Hessburger. The best way to describe it is slightly better than McDonald's, but not as good as Wendy's. One thing on their menu however really intrigued me is their donuts.
The thing that baffled me most is the number of people I saw ordering these donuts. At first I thought maybe it was novelty thing, particularly since there are no donut shops in Lithuania. But then I realized that they did have a lot of bakeries, and they had donut like things available, so that couldn't be it. So, I decided that the only way to figure it out was to try them out. Instantly I knew exactly why people were ordering these things, they're so tasty. They have a little bit of filling (chocolate in the chocolate covered one, strawberry in the pink one) and it balances so well with the nice and soft doughy center. I can say as a Canadian who's eaten my share of Tim Horton's donuts, these are really good.
