Japanese Candy and Japanese Culture

Although short, this article really highlights the connections between candy and pop-culture.  Although it only talks about Japanese culture and Japanese candy, if you look hard enough you'll find that almost every candy in the world is somehow tied to pop-culture, some even cross borders and are attached to multiple pop-cultures.
