The widows of the chocolate shops in Belgium are spectacular, almost as spectacular as the chocolates themselves. The level of competition between the chocolate shops in this country is staggering, so you would imagine they put a lot of effort towards their windows to attract customers. For the next two weeks I'm going to show you some of the great themes and ideas I came across while searching out my chocolate paradise.
With Christmas coming, you can imagine the number of holiday themed windows I saw in Belgium. For the most part they were fairly traditional, but I think that's a good thing. Chocolate Santas, advent calendars, and other peppermint looking sweets seem to dominate. The main difference is the quality you could see in these chocolates, the advent calendars are the best example. Although pricey, at up to 30 euros each, the types of chocolates inside will make any chocolate fanatic happy, and even the box designs tended to be very creative.CC
