Not to get to psychological on you, but the association with love and sex and lollipops is pretty massive in pop culture.  I mean you can always look at the obvious phallic connection between sucking on lollipops and certain... "acts", I guess.  But you do find many songs that use lollipops as a reference to love, and not just sex.  The problem I have is I'm never really sure if these songs are using "lollipop" and a reference for sex, or as a reference for love.  It could also be that sometimes they're just talking about lollipops.
