Marshmallow Sauce

The other night my friend Marc had me over for what I can only describe as a spectacular meal. Marc is one of those home chefs that I think could really make it as a pro chef (that's why when he invited me over I couldn't say no). He presented the dinner party with a summer thanksgiving spectacular although one particular dish stole the show. It was this brown gravy looking sauce, however it's not gravy at all, it's marshmallow sauce. Apparently it's a simple mix of marshmallows, butter and brown sugar. Now what would one put marshmallow sauce on? Supposedly you're supposed to put it on mashed sweet potatoes. At this particular dinner party we extended its use and pretty much put it on everything, including the pie for desert. Truly a memorable meal.
