While I don't dislike large candy companies, I do worry about the state of some of the classic treats of the world. This article deals with the issues in Russia of the popularization of US and British brands, and how they're starting to take over the candy market. There are some great Russian candy treats out there that the world really should sample, and it would be sad to see them disappear forever.
