Classic/Creative Candy Advertising - Banana Cream Pie

The only thing less appetizing than the pie depicted in this ad, is the creepy soldier smiling in the top corner.  I'm not sure why marketing banana cream pies to soldiers is important, but I'm no marketing genius either.
