Candy In The Media

M&M's really played the whole brown M&M thing for adults.  I'm pretty sure as a kid I never thought about my candy having an active social or sex life.  As it turns out, some advertising creative person does, and they should be locked up for it.  I'm no prude, but I have no interest in knowing where Mini M&Ms come from.

Candy In the Media

This might be the most NSFW candy advertisement I've ever seen.  I mean it's not horribly obscene, but it pretty much dances on the edge.  I also don't really find it very realistic.  I've never heard of, or seen anybody dance around nude with a chocolate bar.  In general eating candy while nude is not commonly done, no matter what your age.  I guess I could attempt a project and see if a Kit Kat bar tastes any different in the nude than it does fully dressed.

Friday Candy Video - Cotton Candy Genius

I don't like to throw around the words "candy genius", but this guy deserves it.  Best of all he's also generous with the local kids as well.

Friday Candy Video - Britney Sells Candy In Japan

I may have posted this commercial before, but I'm not sure.  It's a great example of US celebrities doing commercials in foreign markets.  The thing that baffles me most about this commercial is the lady in background working on the laptop.  What is she doing, and why is she in this commercial?

Friday Candy Video - Skittles Dance

What should one do when Skittles sends you a free boom box?  Why not dress up like a freak, dance in public, with Skittles pouring out of your pants?

Wednesday's Candy Links

Dancing, cute people, flashing lights, drinking, and a candy shop... makes sense.

Mental Floss has a list of 14 creative soap shapes including Christmas Ribbon and Rice Krispies Squares.

Go on the internet and make customizable nonpareils from Josh Early Candies, it's the future my friends.

See, It's Not All Boring

This morning I posted about some of the the realities of candy shows.  I might have given the impression that candy shows are mostly dull with a hint of fun.  Well the video above might change your mind about that.

Candy And Dance

I've said on this blog about a million times that I love it when candy and art collide.  Most people think it's just visual arts, but they're wrong.  I love when music, poetry, and even dance mix with candy.  Speaking of dance and candy, it appears that studio red is having a candy themed ballet show.  They decided to make a dance interpretation of the board game Candyland, and it sounds great.
