Spreads - Hummus

I just finished an art piece for bewarethecheese.com's fine art gallery "Senses". For this piece I had to photograph, and eventually eat more than 40 different spreads.  I've decided to post a little something about each spread that I sampled.

When I presented this idea to some friends, they told me that hummus is not a "spread".  Well I don't agree at all, hummus is spread on all sorts of things, maybe not bread, but pitas, meats, and vegetables for sure.  I probably eat more hummus than just about any other spread, excluding butter.  And here's a surprise, it's actually very tasty on white bread.
