I think this guy might be the most pretentious character ever featured in a candy advertisement in the history of modern advertising. Sure he's sharing his gum, that gives him some credit, but it really looks like he could care less about this nice girl that willing to share her record with him. Listen 1950's girl, you can do better than that stick in the mud, and a pack of gum is only 5 cents, don't fall for the guy just because he gives you gum. Trust me, that's not a healthy relationship.
