Check out another classic candy that I've reviewed, but only if you're from some parts of Europe.

Classic Candy For You
at
9:30 AM
The thing I find very interesting about the candy world is what people define as a "classic candy". The reason I find it interesting is because there are many classic candies out there that are only classic in very particular parts of the world. I'll never forget the conversation I had with a friend from Europe who couldn't understand how people in North America could actually enjoy peanut butter and chocolate together. The fact that not everyone's classic candy is classic all over the world is the main reason I'm still writing this after more than 2000 reviews.

Classic Candies From Around The World
at

It's funny, if I was to ask you what you might consider to be a "classic" candy, I'm betting there are several people around the world who would disagree. For example, this latest review from Japan is a true Japanese classic candy, yet many of us have only learned about it recently. If you want some better context (particularly for you Americans), it's only been recently that most of the world has learned what an Almond Joy bar is, and many people have never tried Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Are All Classic Candy Objectively Great?
at
11:00 AM
I always have a hard time writing reviews for treats that I would call classic. I know that not everyone has the same classic treats as everyone else, but for me SweetTarts were a treat that's been part of my life for as long as I can remember. The problem is that I have a bit of nostalgia for this classic (North American?) treat. So when I want to write a review, no matter how good or bad this treat might actually be, I have a certain amount of nostalgia for it. I want it to be great, but I'm not entirely sure that's actually the case. Worse yet, what if I manage to convince myself it's not that great, that might ruin my entire childhood.
Read my full review of this classic treat, and let me know if you think nostalgia got in the way.
