It's Cold, Buy A New Shirt

It's so cold in many parts of the world right now, you really can't have enough to put on. Why not celebrate your favourite candy review site with one of the many layers you put on? Best of all you'll  look pretty cool with this design from Tom Yeo.

You can even add more layers by buying a few t-shirts from our store.

We're Taking A Break, But We Have This New Review To Post First - Crunky "Crunch Choclate"

We are taking a break from posting new reviews for a little while. We're heading out of town for a little while, and we just don't want to lug all of the gear needed to update the site. We'll also be busy running around trying new snacks all the time too. It's not that we're not going to be doing anything Candy Critic related. We're going to be posting all kinds of pictures and videos of our adventure on social media. We're also going to pick up some new stuff to review while we're... oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that we're going to Canada.

So here's our last review for a little while.

Also make sure to check out our trip updates on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

And keep an eye on our YouTube channel, as we're hoping to post a video or two as well.

Posting A New Review This Morning, And It's Not Exciting... Not The Review Just The Candy - Eesti Vabariik 100

I've said this a million times on this site, and it keeps coming up again and again, boring candy is the worst to review. The thing that makes boring candy tough to review is that I don't really have anything great or anything horrible to say about it. Most boring candy is candy that I would certainly recommend if you're looking for something to fill that sweet tooth craving. The fact that it's not horrible (and often not even that bad) is the perfect reason to eat it. The problem is I have to fill these review with words, and if "it's just milk chocolate" than I only have four words to my review at that point.

Click here to read the other words we used to describe a simple milk chocolate bar.

If you liked this very long video, and want more (maybe not as long), make sure to follow us on YouTube.

Also make sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram to keep up with the Japanese DIY candy review-a-thon.

We Have A Japanese Do It Yourself Candy Review-A-Thon Happneing All Week Starting With - Popin' Cookin' "Sushi"

Allison and I picked up a few Japanese DIY candy kits on our recent trip to Japan, and we decided to carve out an afternoon and make them all. Each one was really fun to build and we had all kinds of surprises along the way. This week we're going to document our adventure with a review-a-thon and a really long video.  We're starting the review-a-thon with probably my favourite of the three kits, the Popin' Cookin' sushi set.

Click here to find out what I thought about this kit.

The video featuring us making all of these kits with a fun voice over commentary will be going up later this week (unless you're on Patreon in which case it'll be going up later today). You can keep an eye open on this blog or subscribe to our YouTube channel to find out when it's online.

Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to keep up with all the Japanese candy DIY reviews this week.

Candy In The Media - The Engineering Of A Gumball Machine

If you think about it, gumball machines are the practice grounds for safe crackers. I imagine that every safe cracker in the world would rip off gumball machines when they were kids.

It's Time For A Look At This And Last Month In Candy, Also A Review - Toffifee

To start off this week we're posting a review of a candy that likely could have been our Christmas review, but I feel it fits better being a post Christmas review, Toffifee. If you ask Allison it's the one treat that I always love to eat around Christmas time. She's nice enough to make sure we have a box every year as well. It's strange that I haven't written a review up until now, but better late than never.

You can click here to check out this new review.

We're also re-starting our video series, Chris's Monday Morning Breakfast Thoughts as a monthly show. We've decided that  it works much better as a monthly show and we'll be posting it on the first Monday of every month.  You can always find the new episode posted here on this blog, but you can subscribe to our YouTube channel to get the videos as soon as we finish them.

Also make sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to keep up with all our daily shenanigans.
