Double Vision?

To me, this candy totally makes sense, but that's because I'm Canadian. While I'm not sure if this is the most Canadian candy ever made, I'm pretty sure it only makes sense if you are Canadian. To understand this bar you have to be familiar with a Coffee Crisp and Tim Horton's. To Canadians both of these things are very familiar, I would even say that these are every day foods in Canada. Some Canadians might not even realise that these are Canadian exclusives since they're so common in Canada.

Texture As A Variety

Today when we see different varieties of candies, the thing that's often the difference is the flavour. It's much more rare for candy companies to change the texture of their classic candies at all when they come out with a new variety. Even more rare is candy companies coming out with a new variety of their classic treats and the only real difference is the texture. The folks at Werther's did just that, and it worked pretty well.

Click here to find out about the texture differences between Original Werther's and the chewy version.

Time To Eat Peanut Butter Cups Wrong

Better With Chocolate

I've always said that just about anything can be improved with chocolate. This new candy review is a fine example of that. It's even something one might not normally think of working with chocolate, but it does. There's really only one thing that I might argue has never worked with chocolate, and that's onions. I've had a few treats with dried onions mixed with chocolate, and I've never been happy while eating it. This isn't to say that I will avoid anything with onions and chocolate in the future. In fact if you have an onion chocolate combination that you think works, let me know, I'd really like to be able to say that everything works with chocolate, but right now I can't.

Click here to read about this tasty and somewhat odd chocolate and rice cracker combination.

If you have a great onion and chocolate combination, let me know about it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

This Week I'm Eating All The Jolly Ranchers

Maybe not every single Jolly Rancher that's ever existed, probably not even ever flavour that's available right now. I find that here in Canada it's tough to get your hands on any flavours other than the classics. Since I noticed that the lack of Jolly Rancher reviews was a big hole in my candy review collection, I figured the least I could do was fill it with as many of the classic flavours as I could find. I will warn you *spoilers*, one Jolly Rancher flavour is one of my favourite hard candies, another is one of my least favourite.

Click here to check out the first Jolly Rancher in this week's candy review-a-thon.

Is Cookies and Cream Just White Chocolate?

I have a strange relationship with cookies and cream treats. More often than not I really like them, but I can't really figure them out. If someone asked me to describe cookies and cream chocolate treats, I would likely say that they're like a white chocolate bar with cookie bits, only creamier. I feel like that's a good description, but I'm not sure technically how accurate that is. I don't know how they make cookies and cream chocolate, but each time I bite into a treat made with it, I wonder.

Click here to check out my latest review that happens to be cookies and cream themed.
