Maybe Nerds Just Shouldn't Be Updated - Double Dipped Nerds "Watermelon Apple and Cherry Lemonade"

Since I started reviewing candy many years ago I've had changing opinions about classic candies that offered different variations. There are some cases where I think these variations really work and I go out of my way to try them out, Kit Kat is probably the best example, but there are also a few others. There are also some treats that have broken out with different varieties and it just doesn't work. The new versions not only don't live up to the original, but sometimes they fail as a snack on their own. What I'm saying is that sometimes I like a little variety, and sometimes... well sometimes you get something like this new candy review.

Click here to find out why these Nerds didn't live up to the original.

Make sure to say hello to us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter too.

Be sure to check out our latest project called Snack Facts, a micro comic all about treats and snacks.

A Very Special Review - Crispy Crunch

Some of you keen eyed people out there may have noticed that I've already posted this Crispy Crunch review. In fact I think I posted it many years ago. I'm making this already posted review our feature review because of my father. A few week's ago he passed away, and the Crispy Crunch was his all time favourite candy bar. Normally that would be enough, but I want to stress how important my father was to the creation of this website.

My father used to take my sister and I out on long walks. We used to walk around Toronto, and St Catharines when we were kids. We would go on crazy adventures exploring the urban landscape, but before each adventure we would have to make a stop. This stop would be at a local convenience store to load up on candy. This wouldn't be my father taking the kids to the candy store to keep them busy during the walk. My father would partake in the candy buying as much as we would (sometimes more). We would load up on treats and head out on whatever adventure awaited. These adventures and the candies we would buy inspired my love of tasting new and fun treats, and that is the seed of this website.

Questionable Reviews - Play More "Ume"

I eat a lot of things on this site that many might consider not to be candy. Most of the time people complain that chips, cakes or even chocolate is not technically candy, and they ask me why am I reviewing it on this site. My standard answer is that this is "my" site, and I'll do what I want. Today however I think I may have crossed a line, today I might have just eaten a pill. I might have eaten some kind of supplement or some kind of light weight medical thingy. I'm still going to keep this review online, because I'm not entire sure that it's not candy either. If someone proves to me that this is not a candy then I'll post a warning at the start of the review.

Click here to read the review and judge for yourself.

You can also follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to see what other treats we might be reviewing.

I Normally Don't Eat Spicy Food But... - Aero Truffle "Dark Chipotle"

I don't understand why some people can just eat spicy food, and others cannot. I say this from the point of view of someone who does not generally enjoy spicy food. I wish that I could have been in love with spicy food since I was a child, but frankly I've just started to build a tolerance for it, and it's far from being something pleasurable. At this point I eat spicy food in order to build a tolerance, or to be polite. I still don't really enjoy spicy food for the fact that it's spicy. I enjoy some spicy foods, but I feel like taking the spice away would only make this food more pleasurable. I don't know why I was born this way, or even if I was born this way, but here I am.

A Bar Specifically Designed To Cure The Munchies - Oh Henry "4:25"

Having been away from Canada for the last few years, I forgot about the legalization of marijuana. Frankly since being back it's hardly affected me. I've smelt it on the streets a few times, but I doubt more often than I did before I left. The thing that really interests me is the fact that other than Oh Henry, with this bar, no other candy or snack companies have attached their brand to this new trend. I'm thinking that sales must have gone up a bit in the last year, so maybe they figured why change the brand when people already know you make snacks.

You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to keep up with our return back to Canada.
