This New Candy Review Is A Little Fishy - Taiyaki Ice
at
10:00 AM
I have to admit, today's new candy review is a little sel... fish. The reason I wanted to review an ice cream treat is because I'm in a place that's very hot, and I need to cool down. I know that many of you reading this are in the throws of a cold winter, and I feel for you, but sometimes you just have to do something for yourself.

Wednesday's Japanese Candy Review
at
12:00 PM
I think I've mentioned this before on this blog, but I can't understand what the obsession is with Japan and fish. I know that they're on an island, and for generations (thousands of years) their diet has been mainly seafood, but I think you can go too far. Why would you make cakes, cookies, and other sweet treats fish shaped? I would understand if they had some kind of fish flavour, but when the treat has nothing to do with fish, why market it with a fish? I'm pretty sure this is just a cultural difference that I don't understand, but I'm sure most people in the Western world probably don't understand it either.
