White Cube Things: It taste like a soapy chewy pine tree, very gross.
Peas and Lard: Peas licorice gross, Lard flavourless thankful flavour wasn’t lard.

Purple Little Cylinders: Really chewy and kind of soapy flavoured, almost plastic like.
This weekend some fine friends of mine picked me up a cool little gift while on vacation on the west coast. It was a bag of Candied Smoked Salmon.
I love when my friends pick me up strange and fun candies while on vacation. The question I have is weather or not this is a candy? Should I review it? I’m a little stumped about this one. I’ll most definitely post something, but I’m not sure if it’s BLOG or review material.
Gummy Peach: A little chewier than other gummy peaches I’ve had I think I like them a little more.
Brown Wire Things: Cola flavoured and apparently they do not conduct electricity.
Gummy Apples: Subtle flavour at first, then it got a little yucky.
Today was a day of getting my garden in order, sleeping in a little, and eating European bulk candy. Now I’m sure your saying that me complaining about eating candy is pretty much the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard about, and you may be right. But the pile just seems to be never ending and I’m really just waiting for the moment that I bite into something so repulsive that I pass out and die. This weeks review fortunately isn’t that bad although I have no idea what “Chai” is at all.
Berries: Tasty, fruity and thank god the black one was black berry and not licorice.
Gummy Cows: They taste a little creamy and fruity too, just like a cow should.Teeth, teeth and more teeth.

Gummy Fried Eggs: Soft on the bottom chewy on the top, opposite kind of to a real egg.

While in France this last week, Allison found this great little bulk candy store and picked up a whole bunch of crazy bulk treats I’d never seen before.
So all this week, and maybe into next week, I’m going to sample a few of these treats and in one sentence describe what that candy’s all about. Wish me luck.
What a Bliss party type day. I didn’t really have what it takes to do the regular party thing; mostly I didn’t have any friends that said they could show up. So instead I decided to turn my Bliss Party (the folks at Hershey’s gave me all the party favours I needed) into a Bliss block party.
I decided to knock on doors in my neighbourhood with bags full of party fun things.
I’d awkwardly explain what I was doing. People looked at me funny. They saw the free chocolate and loot in the bag and would generally smile.
One neighbour wasn’t home. But I wasn’t going to let a simple lock keep me away from making their day.

It’s not that we have that many regular days here at Candy Critic. In fact when we have a regular one we tend to celebrate it with a huge party, which inevitably changes that day into a fun filled party day thus eliminating the “regular” day. This update day isn’t that regular either because we got a cool new snack to try out. So I guess the title is a bit of a lie because we have no “plain and simple” days here at Candy Critic.
I saw this poster for Madonna’s new Album ‘Hard Candy’. I get the feeling based off the picture that she’s not going to be singing about the virtues of sugary snacks.
They’re salty and kind of look like a face (if you squint). So go get yourself a bag and crunch away!It’s been a crazy week here at Candy Critic so I thought this totally insane commercial would help you know what headspace we’re all in right now.

Don’t forget that this Friday is the whole crazy Bliss party thing. The folks Hershey reminded me by sending a package full of Party stuff to help me celebrate.
And what say’s party better than a bag of pens. “Wooohoooo, hey everybody let’s get crazy and dictate memos to each other!”

This is a great day here at Candy Critic, why do you ask? Well today is the day that we finally get a treat that starts with the letter “U” up into the reviews. I’ve searched around for one for a little while now and finally we have the hole filled. Well on my little journey last week I happened to have had a stop in western Canada so I searched out a bag. What I found was that they not only had dill pickle but also creamy dill. I’m not 100% sure that the photo above is of something with pecans actually in it but I figure it’ll do in a pinch, we can always pretend. I didn’t actually manage to eat any pecans today but Allison just finished a bowl of cereal that was chock full of them.
Also in the news… It would appear that stealing candy is back in style again in the crime scene. It’ll be a matter of time till organized crime gets involved and the world becomes a very different place.
Well actually it was yesterday but I figure that Licorice day should really be a whole weekend thing anyways. The folks at Red Vines sent me a whole bunch of licorice to enjoy for the occasion so I thought a review was the best way to celebrate. Fortunately for them it’s a pretty positive review too.
You may have noticed a lack of posts lately; I assure you that I still love you all. Allison and I just went up north (yup Canada has some really north bits) to check out the attractions.
But don’t worry; I’ve got all kinds of stuff to talk about. Like these strange bear candies my friend sent me.
