It's National Boston Cream Pie Day!!!

I have to say that my biggest regret when I visited Boston was not trying a slice of Boston Cream pie.  In fact I can't say that I've ever tasted Boston Cream pie in my entire life.  I've eaten many a Boston Cream donut, but I've never had this cream in a pie.

While I'm not sure exactly what kind of cream is in a Boston cream donut, I think it might qualify as the most popular cream filled donut.  Some day I hope to eat a Boston cream donut in Boston, but I wonder what they call them there?

Serious Eats points us to what looks like one of those real hidden treasures, selling what looks like classic yummy donuts.  I figure most donuts in Boston should be pretty good, after all the city has a donut named after it.

Ice Cream Cakes

I love ice cream cakes, yet I'm fairly convinced that those around me think it's some kind of joke. I don't think they believe how much I love ice cream cakes. I say this because to be honest I haven't had one in a few years. This list of the best ice cream cake places in Boston isn't making me feel any better about it either.
