Making Bubble Gum

Apparently the song we used to sing in grade school about how bubble gum was made is completely false.

It's Time To Eat Gum, And Regret It Almost Instantly

In this episode of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!!, I eat a piece of Dubble Bubble that's more than 20 years old. I don't really know why I have such an old piece of gum, but I should mention that I have more, if you're interested in having a piece for yourself.

If you're interested in a piece of really old gum, make a case for yourself on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

If you follow me on Patreon your chances will drastically improve.

Candy In the Media - Watching Them Make Gum

You may not want to watch this if you don't know what's in a synthetic gum base... It's not pretty.

Classic/Creative Easter Candy Advertising

I always find it interesting when candy companies advertise their candies for Easter, even though their candy really isn't Easter like at all.  While I love Dubble Bubble, I don't really see how a square of gum is associated with Easter at all.  Maybe if they made little Easter egg shaped gum balls, or bunny shaped chunks of gum, but the standard chunk of Dubble Bubble just isn't Eastery at all.

I found this ad here.
