It's A New Greek Review And Another Episode Of Monday Morning Breakfast Thoughts

There are certain candies that I've eaten a hundred times and continue to eat, but still haven't reviewed. There are many reasons why this happens, but for the most part I think it's just because I think I've already reviewed it. This new review is the perfect example of a bar that I've eaten a million times, but never posted it on candycritic.org. Fortunately I (or sometimes it's you guys) caught this discrepancy, so it's time to analyze this Ion bar.

Also, don't forget to check out our latest episode of Chris's Monday Morning Breakfast Thoughts. This  time we decided to go for the fruit instead of the cereal for breakfast (we also talk a bit about junk food and candy).

The Last Greek Review... For A While At Least

Some of the candy you find in Greece can trace its linage to some of the oldest candies in the world.  These candies are often hand made, depend greatly on the ingredients rather than the process, and require simple cooking techniques.  Greece also has some modern candy too, but it's still a little behind when it comes to the hip new trendy candy we see in other places around the world.  I'm not sure that their lack of modern candy is a bad thing though, while chocolate bars are just starting to really hit their stride here, their baked goods are better than most places anywhere else in the world.

A New Greek Candy Review

I know that many of my North American readers are going to be a little upset at the idea of posting a non-US or Canadian review this week.  After all, both countries are celebrating their national days this week, and I'm even Canadian.  The problem is, I didn't really think the idea of posting 2 months of Greek candy reviews all the way through.  I'm also a stickler for following through on things that I promise.

Classic/Creative Candy Advertisement

As I've mentioned before, I'll be leaving Greece in the near future, off for new adventures.  I've decided that before I leave I must make sure I explore (review) every single Greek treat that I may have overlooked.  The one brand that I've really overlooked is ION.  It's a chocolate bar company here in Greece that produces some really great bars.  So I've been cleaning up the candy shelves, and before I go, I'm going to review several of ION's tasty treats.

I found this ad here.
