Spreads - Fluff

I just finished an art piece for bewarethecheese.com's fine art gallery "Senses". For this piece I had to photograph, and eventually eat more than 40 different spreads.  I've decided to post a little something about each spread that I sampled.

Melted marshmallow seems like a great idea on toast.  Fluff is not melted marshmallow, instead it is some kind of marshmallow hybrid that comes straight out of a room temperature jar with the consistency of melted marshmallow.  While I'm not a big fan of this stuff on plain white bread, I can see uses for it for other applications.

It's National Fluffernutter Day!!!

Fluffernutter, for those out of the loop, is peanut butter and fluff marshmallow spread, together on bread.  It's also one of those taste combinations I'm surprised more candy companies haven't capitalized on.  I think this flavour combination would work very well with cookies or candy bars, maybe even a fine chocolate as well.

Round White Ball Review

Why is it when a candy is presented as a white fluffy looking ball, it looks so tasty, but often disappoints.  They look so delicate, like there's something so subtle and almost cute about them, but inevitably something's wrong.  It's rarely the texture as well, it's most often a flavour imbalance.  Maybe, since you see a light treat, and often these treats are also light in texture, when you have a flavour that is any short of very subtle, your mind does flip flops.

Wednesday's Candy Links

Apparently in the UK, stores promised to move candy away from the tills at grocery stores, they don't seem to be keeping their promises.
