Chicken Wings Start A Review-a-thon

 I feel like starting this week's candy review-a-thon with a gummy chicken wing is perfect. It's a great way to show how strange and beautiful gummies or any candies can be. One of my biggest complaints about candy is the lack of creativity, but every so often I'm pleasantly proven wrong. This gummy is so strange, but its weirdness doesn't get in the way of it being a candy. When I started candycritic.org, I had a sweet tooth, but the longer I've been doing it, the more I want to discover really creative treats. At times like this I'm greatly rewarded.

I feel like the lesson about taking candy from strangers was completely lost on me. I regularly accept candy from strangers, and open packages and eat contents for things that I have no idea who may have made it. My general assumption is that if it's packaged well than it mush be okay, but sometimes I don't even follow that rule. Mac Tonight?.. With Cheese?

 

There's a lot of attention on social media to rail against "stunt food". I would argue that the originator of stunt food has to be the candy industry. It's been decades that this part of the food industry has dared it's customers to go for really silly food combinations and flavours. Strangely this is also the area where I see very few social media posts railing against it. For the most part it seems that people are okay with weird and over the top candy creations, but when it comes to regular food, and even desserts there seems to be a problem. This makes me very happy because I would have nothing to write about on this site if candy companies didn't try new things, and I for one even enjoy the crazy projects that go horribly wrong.

It's Time For A New Candy Review - Collon "Cream Flavour"

My spell check keeps wanting me to change the spelling of today's new review. For some reason it doesn't like the word Collon. Fortunately for me, my spell check is feeling charitable and the first option it's giving me is the name "Collin". This makes the chances of me writing something a little obscene far less possible.

It is however a little odd that Glico would produce a candy that's tube shaped and filled with cream, and give it the name so close to a part of the digestive system. Maybe one of you out there might be able to help with the context from a language point of view.
