We've Got A New Episode of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!! - Lemon Pepper Tang
at
10:00 AM
Over the last few years I've started to collect flavours of Tang, this one was one of the weirder ones and well worth mentioning.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
Easter is almost here, and frankly all of us at candycritic.org are looking forward to a visit from our favorite bunny. It seems like only yesterday we were bundled up in our winter gear waiting for spring to come... after checking the weather reports around the world I see that many of you still are bundled up, sorry. I'm sure that wherever you are Easter decorations, treats, and spring like festivities are in the air (and on the store shelves). To celebrate the almost Easter time, this week on candycritic.org we're going to look at our second favorite egg making company, Kinder.
Recently I came across an interesting phenomenon in a certain part of the world. It was in Asia that I came across gender specific Kinder Joy. I decided that I would pick up one of each gender of Kinder Joy and see what the difference is. I'll post a full blog entry about my discovery, and my opinion on the whole matter, later this week. Also, if you're not familiar with what Kinder Joy is, I'll cover that too.
This week on Snack Facts, our Instagram feed, we'll be looking at the Kinder company. Every day this week we'll post in egg-stremely interesting fact about a company that's huge all over the world... except maybe in the USA. All you have to do to keep up with Snack Facts is follow us on Instagram, if you don't use Instagram, you can also follow on our Twitter feed and Facebook page as well.
Whenever spring is in the air I start to crave lemonade. This week's review might just help me get through this craving, and it might also help out my constant craving for chocolate. Click here to check out this week's lemonade/chocolate crossover.

Mike and Ike Review-A-Thon Part 5
at
10:00 AM
Well, this is my last Mike and Ikes review for this weeks review-a-thon. This might also be the first time I've ever posted a review-a-thon based on one particular brand of candy. Allison commented about this last night, and she asked me why I chose to do this. I think the key reason I chose these as the subject of a review-a-thon is because I really didn't even know that so many varieties of Mike and Ike's existed. I knew that they had a few special editions, and I knew that Hot Tamales were like hot Mike and Ikes, but I really wasn't aware of this huge range that is apparently available all the time. Apparently I'm not the only one either, I've received a few messages from friends surprised that Mike and Ikes came in more than just one or two flavours. So I end this week having sampled some good, and some bad, Mike and Ikes, but I come away knowing that there are options.

Tuesday's Candy Links
at
9:00 AM
Yesterday Dr. Mike Lustgarten sent me this article with a little more information about why cocoa might not be that healthy.
A good explanation as to why pink lemonade is pink, I figure it's relevant since so many candies use it as a flavour.
I think I may have posted about this "non-melting chocolate" before, but just in case I didn't... or if you missed it.
A information about a kitchen counter top cotton candy machine, I'm not sure if I'm even a big enough fan of the stuff to buy this thing.

I Love Lemonade
at
6:57 PM
I just can't figure out why it reminds people of the old country side. Maybe it's just strange to me because I grew up in Canada, and frankly our country side has not one lemon tree.

Candy For a Cause
at
2:02 PM
I love to see candy companies becoming involved with good causes. It allows you to now only enjoy eating your favorite treat but also lets you feel like your helping out. The folks at Just Borne are doing just that.
