Classic/Creative Easter Candy Advertising

I don't think I like the idea of the Easter Bunny being portrayed as lazy.  This advertisement is basically saying, "hey, I didn't feel like giving you a variety of treats this year for Easter, instead I'll just stop at Walmart and pick you up a couple of bars".

Friday Candy Video

"Each year millions of gallons of milk, the kind you drink, go into Milky Way candy bars."  So what you're saying is that I can eat a Milky Way bar every day, and not a glass of milk?!!  See mom, I was right, candy is healthy.

Two things about this commercial.   First of all, it's interesting to see a commercial that sells a chocolate bar as an important part of a daily diet.  I don't disagree with this, as any marathon runner will agree a little sugar and carbs can give you a good boost, it's just not for those of us that sit in front of a computer all day.  The second thing about this commercial is how manly it is. I've never associated the Milky Way bar with being a guy food, but apparently it is.

Cocoa Heaven's Sweet 16 Is Over...

Last week I posted about Cocoa Heaven's Sweet 16 contest where they decided to try and pick the best candy bar using a tournament style NCAA competition.  So the winner... Milky Way?!!  This can't be!  Looking at the standings I have to say that I'm not sure how some of these bars progressed while others fell behind.  Most importantly I can't see how Snickers lost to Milky Way in the final, it's just wrong.

Update Da… Wait a minute.

Ok so it’s not really update day, it’s a couple of days after update day, but I was out of town. I was out of town searching for cool candy, and trust me I found a bunch. So much so in fact that my teeth are already starting to hurt. This weeks review actually came from a trip too; unfortunately it wasn’t me on it. However any time I get a treat out of someone’s fun trip out of town I’m at least a little less jealous.
