Seedy Asian Review is Part 3 of Our Asian Review-A-Thon

I get a lot of grief from people who tell me that treats, like today's review, are in fact not candy.  Seed and nut treats are a bit of a grey area, but when I see one that I'm sure is a candy, I review it.  You may have a difference of opinion, but then it begs the question, what percentage must your treat be made up of nuts or seeds for it not to be candy?

Finnish Review-A-Thon Part 6

Well I finally caved in and went for the pure licorice.  I figured that I couldn't have a Finnish review-a-thon without trying a pure licorice treat.  It's been a fun week trying out Finnish treats, but sadly the review-a-thon is over.  Thank you people of Finland for making some fun and crazy snacks for me to munch on.

Black Licorice Review

So do you think it's wrong that a guy claims to be an expert on candy, yet he really doesn't like licorice?  This same guy also has a thing against the excessive use of coconut in chocolate as well.  Is it wrong to not like the taste of certain things and review food at the same time?

Got Some More Natural Vines

Some nice folks, from a nice company, decided to send me a couple of bags of Natural Vines licorice.  Now some of you (very few of you probably) might remember that this isn't the first time I've received these treats.  However last time I only reviewed the red Natural Vines.  Since they where nice enough to send me some more, I think I'll review the black ones.

Are You a Red Or Black Licorice Person?

The folks at American Licorice are going to try and find out where you stand, and where most Licorice fans stand on the subject.  Me personally, I'm a red licorice guy, I find black licorice to be too bitter and sometimes I even find that it burns my mouth a little.  Having said that the red flavour must be just right, too sweet and you can ruin it.  I have also tried a few... very few... black licorice treats that I've liked.  But if given the choice I often find that red is the safer bet.

I'm Applying For a Job At Green And Black

You can apply as well, however I must say that I have a lot of experience when it comes to sampling chocolate, and I already live abroad and I'm used to traveling. I'm not saying you won't get the job, I'm just saying you won't get it without a fight.

Just Got A Whole Bunch-0-Chocolate In The Mail

And I can't wait to munch on each and every bar. A few flavours in particular interest me like the Maya Gold and the Ginger.

Hey Boing Boing, Welcome To the Candy Critic Racket

It appears Boing Boing is entering the ring and starting to review candy. They just posted a whole collection of licorice reviews on their site and I'm not worried at all about the competition. Mostly because now when someone tells me I should start reviewing more licorice I can point them in the direction of this link and avoid eating the stuff myself (I'm not a big fan).

Tomorrow is National Licorice Day!

I figure with update day, Easter and all that happening tomorrow I’d give the fine folks that want to celebrate National Licorice day a little warning. Maybe instead we could say that it’s National Licorice Weekend or something, although that might conflict with the whole religious thing.
