Amazing Halloween Candy/Junk Food Costumes That You Should Buy - Tootsie Pop Dress

I think that we can probably agree that this isn't really a Halloween costume. Some people might buy one of these for Halloween this year and pass it off as such. Some might also argue that this is a little too sexy to be a Halloween costume. I'm not someone who judges other people's fashion sense, so i will say nothing. What I will say is that I think as a dress this is a pretty neat look. I really like the retro graphics, and if I saw someone wearing this dress in public, I might even compliment them on the cool design.

A Candy Thing, You Probably Shouldn't Lick

All this month we're featuring candy themed t-shirts, why?  Well I'm starting to run out of t-shirts and I think I need to buy a few new ones.  I presently don't own a single candy themed t-shirt, and as the Candy Critic, that's probably just wrong.  This Tootsie Pop Owl shirt not only stays within my candy theme, but it also makes me look smart too.

Hershey's is opening a Chocolate World in Las Vegas, I hear Tom Jones has a sweet tooth.

For all of you Americans waiting for the Twinkie to come back, it's happening soon.

"World cocoa market will be in deficit for next two years"... This is not good news.

The worst part of having a cocoa deficit?  As it turns out cocoa might fight off diabetes.

This list of candies that are supposedly no longer available isn't completely accurate, but the parts that are make me a little sad.

Did you know that Tootsie just revamped their recipe page?  Did you know that you could cook with Tootsie Rolls?

Fruit infused cocoa beans, chocolate and fruit go together, so this seems like it might work.

Fruity Review During a Fruity Time Of Year

This is pretty much my favorite time of year in most parts of the world.  In the northern hemisphere my favorite fruits are in full season.  In some places the season is near the end, but in other parts of the world it's in full swing.  If I couldn't ever eat another candy again for the rest of my life, I'd probably become the "fruit critic".  Today's review allows me to enjoy my love of both candy and fruit, so I'm a happy boy.

Hoboken Has A Sweet History

Who knew that Hoboken was really such an important part of candy history.  According to the article below Tootsie Rolls and Twinkies owe much of their history to this city.  And that's only the beginning, it appears that Hoboken is really a candy friendly town all around.  Best of all if you want to learn more about it, there's an interesting looking exhibit going on at the Hoboken Historical Museum for the next 6 months.

The Folks At Tootsie Know How To Do Business

I'm not sure I understand how Tootsie managed this but apparently they are completely exempt from the US sugar tariffs and they get their white stuff cheap. I also don't know why, but this article implies that the folks that own it now might be interested in selling. I'd blame the writer for my lack of understanding on this subject but frankly I think I'm coming down with a cold and I can't really focus right now.

Wow this is cool

The folks at Tootsie are great people, and you may agree with me. Why do you ask? Well they just sent me a whole bunch of candy to take a look at, review, and maybe bathe in, but really that's personal. Best of all they've sent word that they will also send one of my lucky readers a bunch of treats too. All I have to do is pick one winner and a pack will be yours. Now I have to figure out how to give it away.
