It’s getting late and I want to get up early tomorrow. Things here at Candy Critic are going a little crazy with Halloween only a few days away things here often get even crazier. I guess this may have been a bad time to do a review-a-thon but it just seemed right. Well I’m going to go to bed; sure hope the sugar doesn’t keep me awake.
I went to a temple in Kamakura that has all of these little statues to represent children that have passed away.
Often they dress them up and I found this little statue with a Chupa Chups bib on him/her. It’s kind of cute and kind of sad all at the same time.
Boing Boing has a quick little post about a candy injury that personally have never had the pleasure to have. It comes from those little air pockets you sometimes find in Tootsie Pops. It’s a little gory so be careful.
I’m really tired today and I want to just take a nap. The thing is I’m trying to keep myself awake to adjust to the time change. I figured updating Candy Critic would be a great way to do this, I never anticipated how tired I really was. Maybe this weeks review will give me some energy. By the way I know I’m in Tokyo right now, but the next few reviews are still from North America. In fact I’ve brought a few treats with me so I’ll continue to have North American treats now and again.
For those that didn’t enter our Tootsie contest earlier you missed out because Mr Watson was lucky enough to get himself a prize pack from the fine folks at Tootsie. I asked people to tell me the best way to give the treats away and he not only decided to share it but also wanted to make sure that those who received it got a positive message about taking care of your teeth. The folks at Tootsie are great people, and you may agree with me. Why do you ask?
