It's been 6 years now, but I'm finally home. Over the last 6 years I've been living outside of my home country of Canada. It started with 4 years in Greece, and then 2 years in Pakistan. Withing these times I traveled a lot, and saw a great deal of the world (including sampling a huge number of awesome treats), but now I'm home. For the next little while my travel plans are going to go down (but not all gone), and I'm going to look at the food from my home and native land. I'm also going to look at the food from my favorite neighbours to the south as well.
Already in my first few days back I've noticed a few things. First of all portion sizes are huge compared to most of the world. I haven't been able to enjoy too many desserts lately because I can't even get through half of my giant dinners and lunches. Secondly, the selection of food in North America is amazing, I've found snacks and treats at Walmart that before this I only could find at local shops in developing countries. Finally, food looks really good in North America, it doesn't always reflect the quality of flavour, but everything just looks great.
You might be asking, now that I'm back, what's going on here at Candy Critic? I think there will be a few changes, mostly with when and how things are posted on this blog. I might delay the posts so they go online later in the day, but that will come about as time goes on. This week we're still going to have our regular posts with a new Candy Thing and Candy In The Media. We'll also post a new episode of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!! going online later this week. For the next few weeks Snack Facts (our Instagram feed) is going to continue on vacation mode, and just post facts as we come across them. This could mean you get several posts in one day, and maybe a few days off in between.
Later this week I'll also be posting a recap of my time, and the food I discovered in Pakistan. It's a pretty amazing place, and although it's not an easy place to live, I had some great experiences. All this week I'm also going to be posting updates on my life settling back in Canada. You can follow this adventure on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.
This week's new candy review is a candy made by some of my favorite candy makers here in Canada. OMG's came out a few years back, and I was lucky to have been visiting when they did. Now that I'm back, I'm really happy to see that they're still around. This week's review makes me proud to be a Canadian. Click here to read the review.

Candy Critic Dessert Club – Ice Cream Meets Apple Pie - Apple Pie Ice Cream Cake
at
9:00 AM
I have a strange goal in life, I want to discover the best ice cream recipe that does not require an ice cream maker. By this I mean no ice cream maker at all, not even a makeshift ice cream maker, like two Ziploc bags and salted ice. This recipe might be one of the best answers to this goal so far. It not only delivers an ice cream like substance, but it also tastes pretty good as well.
Ingredients:
Crust:
1/2 cup of melted butter
2 cups of crushed digestive cookies
2 tsp brown sugar
Ice Cream Filling
2 Cups of whipped cream
14 Oz of sweetened condensed milk
About 1 cup apple pie filling (I have a great recipe right here)
1 tsp cinnamon
You'll also need a baking pan (that can be frozen), waxed paper, a mixer (or a whisk with some serious elbow grease) and a mixing bowl.
Take your broken up cookies and in the mixing bowl add the brown sugar, stir till incorporated. Take the melted butter and ad it to the crushed cookie mix. Stir these together until your cookie bits are made up of fairly evenly sized clumps. Take the cookie mix and pour it into your baking pan, that should already be lined with waxed paper. Using a spoon, press the cookie mix into the bottom of the pan until it evenly covers the bottom. Once you have a smooth cookie base, put the baking pan and cookie base in the refrigerator.
While the base is cooling in the refrigerator, wipe out your mixing bowl, and add the whipped cream. Whip the cream until it sets, and the cream forms peaks. With the hand mixer this shouldn't take more than a few minutes, with the whisk it will take much longer (and will be a little painful). Once the whipped cream is whipped, ad the condensed milk and whip it a little more on the lowest setting on your mixer. You only want to blend the two dairy products, and you don't want to over whip the whipped cream.
Once the two dairy products are mixed together, add the cinnamon and pie filling. Using a spoon or spatula gently fold the ingredients together. Do not use the mixer for this as it will over whip the whipped cream.
Take your cookie crust out of the refrigerator and pour the filling mix on top of the crust. Using the spoon or spatula level the cream filling off. If you'd like, you can sprinkle the top of the cake with more crushed cookies, or any other hard topping you'd like. Place your unfrozen ice cream cake in the freezer, and leave it there for at least 12 hours.
Once the cake has frozen remove the cake and let it sit for a couple of minutes. After a few minutes you should be able to remove the cake and the wax paper. Take the cake and waxed paper out, then peel off the waxed paper. You might have to flip the ice cream cake upside down to peel off all of the waxed paper. Once the waxed paper is removed, cut the edges off the cake and discard (into your tummy).
Cut the rest of the cake anyway you like. You can either serve immediately or return it to the pan and serve later (should last a couple of weeks in the freezer). When serving you can add whipped cream or any kind of sauce you like.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
It's going to be a short one today as this week is absolute madness here at Candy Critic. Most notably, we're going home this week, for a few years at least. We're packing up and moving back to Canada for a few years, and this week is the week where we make the move. We'll have a round up of everything once we're back in Canada and settled in a bit. I've also got a few ideas for posts for our journey back home (which will likely take about 30 or 40 hours). Make sure to check out our Twitter and Facebook feeds for regular updates (or at the very least whenever we have internet).
Since we knew this week would be insane, we set up a bunch of articles to be posted on the blog while we're in transit. So you'll still get your weekly dose of a Candy Thing, and Candy In The Media. We're also going to be posting a new recipe, and it's a really good one, and that's going up tomorrow.
This week's new review is almost a sequel to last week's review. I picked up last's week's review (which was a crazy new flavour of Lay's chips), and a friend of mine suggest I try another interesting flavour. He claimed that although the concept was a little weak, the way they did them was pretty good. Click here to check out this old idea done in a new way.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
Thing here at Candy Critic are in a kind of wind down phase. We're deep in the thralls of moving ourselves back home to Canada, a place we've been away from for almost 6 years. It's been a great 6 years abroad where we've sampled some amazing snacks from all over the world, but it's time to get back to our roots. The plan is to try and spend one full year without getting onto an airplane. It's a time to eat some of our classic local food, and also see what's new. It's a time to get back to our roots.
Having said all of that, we're going to be heading on our first "local" adventure almost immediately, with a trip to Disney World. The idea is to inundate ourselves with the ultimate in North American culture, and a drive down the east coast of America to Florida seemed like a great way to do that. A stop at the happiest place on earth is the icing on the cake, especially because the EPCOT food and wine festival will be on while we're there. We'll get to sample foods from all over the world.
This week we'll be focusing on our move, and you might see some signs of that on our Twitter and Facebook feeds. Even though we're moving, we're going to do everything in our power to keep the content coming here on Candy Critic. This includes a new episode of our podcast Junk Fud On The Road, which will go up later this week. I think the only thing that's going to "take a break" is going to be Snack Facts, our Instagram feed. It's not stopping per se, but it will be going into vacation mode. That means that rather than post something everyday, we'll post fun Snack Facts as we come across them on this move. For the next few weeks, many of these posts are likely to be connected to our pack up and move.
We're also going to be keeping our reviews coming, as best we can, throughout the move. This week's review is a pretty special treat, or at least I hope it becomes one. These chips were a revelation, and something I hope last longer than expected. Click here to read the review.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
Feeling much better this week, but that means that I'm behind, and I have to catch up. I think I mentioned this before on this blog, but just in case I didn't, I thought I'd let you all know that I'm moving... again. The good news is that I'm moving back home, to Canada. The bad news is that I have to tie up a lot of loose ends where I am before I leave. I was hoping to get a good start on that last week, but the food poisoning made sure that wasn't going to happen. So that just means we'll have to put things in high gear here, and get everything ship shape before we go. That mostly means cleaning out the candy drawer, writing reviews, and shooting episodes of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!!
This week you should expect our regular shenanigans, along with a new episode of Junk Fud, our podcast. This week's episode is going to be all about the junk food news that happened during the month of July. I expect the episode should be up sometime around Thursday. I'm also working on a special article that I hope to get up soon where I'm going to design a candy (most likely chocolate bar) based on the present American US election candidates. If you have any ideas, let me know.
This week on Snack Facts, our Instagram feed, we're looking at bacteria. Sure it doesn't sound appealing, but last week I felt pretty sick, so I was inspired to research food born bacteria that makes you sick. If you're a daring foodie, you might be familiar with a few of these. Make sure to keep up with Snack Facts on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, and learn why that under-cooked hamburger made you ill.
This week's new review has a strange name, Lunch Bar. I can only assume you're supposed to eat it at lunch, but there's no specific instructions on the package. It's not like a Clark bar is only for people named "Clark". Make sure to read our latest review, and eat the bar whenever you want.

This Week In Candy... Sorry It's Really Late
at
12:00 PM
As for what's happening here on Candy Critic, we're starting to get everything back in order, and going to push out as much as we can this week, as we had planned. Our two regular weekly posts Candy In The Media, and our Candy Thing, will be out as regular. We're also releasing a new episode of "Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!! which we recorded in advance. The only thing that's completely off this week is Snack Facts, our Instagram feed. We'll be back next week with new posts, and I think it's going to be food poisoning related.
We also just managed to post our new review. It was a simple review we had on the back burner, for just such an occasion. All I can tell you is that if you're disappointed by the late review, you're not nearly as disappointed as I was about this chocolate bar. Click here to read why.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
It's a bit of a crazy mixed up day today. I can't really explain why, but I just feel like there's so much going on, and nothing seems to be in order. Maybe writing out our plans for the week on this very blog will help me sort everything out. That or it might just overwhelm me and send me back to bed for the rest of the day.
This week we have our regular posts, our Candy Thing on Wednesday, and Candy in the Media on Friday. We're also going to be posting a new episode of Junk Fud On The Road, co-hosted by Allison. This week's episode is all about Germany, a fine place to get chocolate and other fun treats. After all of this, we're also going to be focusing on some writing projects, they're a little "top secret" right now, but hopefully you'll know about them in the near future.
This week, on Snack Facts (our Instagran feed), we're going to look at baking. Every day this week we'll post a new fact, that you might even consider a tip, on baking. You can follow Snack Facts on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook to learn a fun fact every day this week.
We also have this week's new review, and there's a bonus. The bonus is of coarse that this week's review is part one of a review-a-thon. All this week we're posting a new review every day, and the theme is Fazer. For those unfamiliar, Fazer is a very famous Finnish brand of chocolate bars. While they're not well known in North America, in Europe they're all over the place, and for good reason. Fazer makes some very high quality chocolate, and you'll see by this week's reviews, well worth sampling yourself. Click here to read the latest review, and follow us on Twitter or Facebook to keep up with this week's Fazer review-a-thon.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
This is a busy week here at Candy Critic because we've got a lot of content to put together for the rest of the summer and early fall. Why do you ask is all of this prep-work necessary? Well we're moving... again. Although many of you have no idea where we are right now, all I can say is that we're in Asia somewhere. The thing is, we're going back home, to Canada, and we're leaving sometime this summer. We'll have a stop over in Florida as well to enjoy the happiest place on earth Disney World. What that means for this blog, and Candy Critic is that we have pre-prep a lot of content. We don't want things empty while we're moving.
Our first goal, which has been met, and that was to make Candy Critic portable. We can now update Candy Critic, and this very blog (as well as our video show and podcast) from just about anywhere with an internet connection. Our next step was to get our regular posts ready to go while we were in transition, that's done too. So while we're moving you'll still see our weekly regular posts including our Candy Thing and Candy In The Media. Our last goal, which will be working on this week, and likely next week, is to get future episodes of our podcast Junk Fud, our video show Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!!, and some special posts for the blog read to go and pre-posted as much as possible. All this and we're still writing and keeping up things for this week as well.
Speaking of this week, on Snack Facts, our Instagram feed, we'll be looking at my favorite Canadian flavour, maple syrup. All this week on Snack Facts we'll be posting fun facts about the greatest sugar in the world. You can follow Snack Facts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
And just because we're super busy, doesn't let us off the hook for today's new review. We've decided to post a classic Canadian candy in honour of our homecoming. It may not seem like a classic Canadian treat, but all Canadian kids are very familiar with any of the Maynards gummies. Click here to read this great review.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
Well it was bound to happen one day, the old girl gave out. I'm not one to update my computers often, I hold onto them until they completely give out. Yesterday my desktop computer, that had to be more than 7 years old finally gave it her last. While that isn't the only computer I use to run my very meager internet empire, it did serve certain functions, that will have to be moved to other computers. I'll miss that computer as it served me well, and deserves better than an instantaneous blue screen of death every time I turn it on. What this means for Candy Critic is not totally clear yet. There might be a few delays as I update this temporary laptop to do my bidding. I was already in the process of updating this laptop, but there were a few things left to do. As a result this week's new review is either going to be delayed or not posted till next week.
Just because my computer is down, doesn't mean we're going to stop with "all" of our fun antics. Along with our regular posts here, including our weekly Candy Thing on Wednesday and Candy In The Media on Friday, we'll also be back on track with the Junk Fud podcast. This week's episode of Junk Fud will be Junk Fud News featuring a look back June and all of the fun junk food stuff that happened.
We're also going to go ahead with Snack Facts, our Instagram feed. This week we're looking at classic treats that aren't American. I know all you Americans out there are celebrating your independence, and I hope you have a great day. Just remember, some of the greatest American treats were gifts from other nations. If you want to keep up with Snack Facts, you can follow it daily on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
Now, can anybody recommend a good piece of video editing software that's free, and works well on a laptop?

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
Over the last few weeks here at Candy Critic, we've been re-organizing the way we produce some of our content. Most notably, we're changing up the way our podcast, Junk Fud, and our video blog series, Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!!, is put online. Starting in July, the follow schedule will happen:
First week of every month - Junk Fud News, where we look at what happened in the world of junk food and candy for the month before.
Second week of every month - A new episode of Chris, Whey Would You Eat That?!!, where Chris eats questionable foods for your enjoyment.
Third week of every month - Junk Fud On The Road, where Allison and Chris talk about some of the cool places they've traveled, and the food they found.
Junk Fud History, and Junk Fud And You will continue, but on a random basis.
You can also keep track of all of the episodes of the podcast on our SoundCloud station right here.
Having said all of that, this summer looks like it's going to be rather crazy, so who knows how well we'll stick to this schedule.
Speaking of this summer, we're planning our next adventure, and it's going to be a big one. We've traveled a lot of places, but now we're looking at visiting the "happiest place on earth", that's right Disney World. We're getting geared up to visit the only place where you're happy to see mice wondering around. We've been doing our homework, and we have lots of fun things planned. We are however always open to suggestions for treats and sweets that we can't miss. We should ad that we're going to be there for the Epcot Food And Wine Festival.
This week on Snack Facts, our Instagram feed, we're looking at the origins of some classic candies. Every day this week we're going to tell you how long a classic treat has been around. It's amazing that many of us are eating the same candy that our grandparents ate. To keep up with Snack Facts, you can follow our Instagram feed, Facebook page, or Twitter feed.
Speaking of classic candies, this week's review is a real classic. It's such a classic that I'm really surprised that I haven't reviewed it yet. The Toblerone bar has been around as long as I know, and it's one of those bars I keep finding in every airport all over the world. Click here to read our long awaited review.

Click here to read our long awaited review.

at
5:00 PM
In this third of five episodes of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!! series from India, Chris samples a random brown balls that someone left at his dinner table after a meal. This is probably not a good idea to eat random brown balls left at your dinner table, but that's just what he does.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
Things are starting to settle down now after our epic trip to India. We managed to get all the reviews up for our Indian candy review-a-thon, and we managed to post all of the blogs related to the trip as well. We're still posting more episodes of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!! from India and we'll hopefully have them all up by the end of this week. The last episode may be a two part episode, we're not sure yet.
This week we're going to focus on organizing our podcast Junk Fud and old episodes of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!!. We want to find a better way to archive the episodes, as well as more channels where you can watch/listen to new episodes. If anybody has ideas, or experience podcasting, any help is appreciated. This week I'm also going to be doing a lot of writing, both for the future book on the history of chocolate, and for a few articles I hope to get published. I'm also expanding my travel writing a bit, but you can read more about that on my personal travel blog here.
This week Snack Facts, our Instagram feed is back, and we're looking at Mangoes. The first fact I can tell you about mangoes is that spelling it in the plural form stumped me for a minute today, who knew there was a "e" in there. But make sure to check Snack Facts every day for a new fun fact about this very sweet fruit. You can follow Snack Facts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
As for reviews this week, we're starting this week with the end of our Indian Candy review-a-thon. This week's review is made by a famous western brand, Lay's, but with a truly Indian twist. Click here to read this latest review.

It's Another Episode Of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!! From India
at
5:00 PM
This is the second part of our five part series of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!! videos we filmed on our last adventure in India. This was the first time we decided to shoot something outside the hotel room, and technically it didn't work very well. We're still working out the bugs, but at least you get to see me eat something way too hot for my liking.

India Trip Round Up
at
1:30 PM
India's a pretty fascinating place when it comes to food, there's a certain expectation about what to expect when you eat there, however there's also some realities that get in the way. We all know Indian food from eating at our local Indian restaurant (found in many Western countries). While the food is similar, it's a little bit different. The main difference comes from the fact that when you're in India, you're sitting in a developing country. While I did eat at many fine establishments in India, I also ate in more places that would probably be shut down in a matter of minutes in Western countries. That's not to say that the food wasn't good, or that they didn't try to make the meal pleasant, it's just a different environment, and different ingredients than many of us are used to finding in Indian restaurants.
There's also a diversity in India that you just don't find in average Indian restaurants. We only traveled in the northern part of India, a small fraction of the country, yet we tasted so much variety in the food. In some cases it was drastic, like the Tibetan influence in McLeod Ganj, or subtle differences, like the variations of butter chicken we sampled.
Speaking of butter chicken, this is easily my favourite classic Indian food, and because of this I made sure to sample as many different versions as I could. To my biggest surprise, apparently in the north of India it's more common to eat butter chicken with the bone in. It took a bit of getting used to, but eventually I was OK. We also did a little research, and planned a visit to Moti Mahal in Delhi. This restaurant is known to be the place where butter chicken got its start, and famous chefs (including Gordon Ramsay) have visited this place to learn how it's done. The butter chicken at Moti Mahal was fantastic, and what I appreciated most was the fact that the chicken is shredded (like pulled pork) and then mixed in the sauce. It creates a great texture and really gets the creamy sauce all around.
Probably my second favourite meal on the trip happened in McLeod Ganj, a city famous for the fact that it's where the Dalai Lama, and the Tibetan government in exile are now located. I don't know if I've ever tasted Tibetan cooking before, but I'm now hooked. Tibetan food is simple, hearty, and full of flavour. I fell in love with two dishes in particular, Momos, and Thentuk. Momos are small dumplings that are either steamed or fried, and can be filled with just about anything. Thentuk is a chicken soup with all kind of vegetables, and fantastic flat noodles. Why Tibetan food is not more popular in North America I do not know, not only is it tasty, but it's simple enough that many picky eaters wouldn't be afraid of it.
Sweets and candy wise I pretty much got what I expected, lots of small treats, similar to what you might find in Indian restaurants in North America. There were a few new ones to try, but not too many big surprises. Salty snacks are also very popular in India; I imagine that the spicy options (of which there are many) make salty snacks popular in this country. The big surprise for me when it came to candy was the amount of chocolate all over the place. Most of it seemed to be Cadbury, or Cadburyesq chocolate bars. I imagine that this comes from the British influence of the past.
Although not a sweet, one thing that you must try in India if you get the opportunity are the mangoes. Not only is the quality fantastic, but the variety is amazing. I've been told that there are hundreds of variety to choose from, and you can pretty much find them everywhere. Better still you can also try many different sweet treats flavoured with mango as well. From ice cream to candies, mango is a really popular flavour and a really popular fruit in India, and for good reason.
The big disappointment on this trip came from the western food. I often enjoy sampling chain restaurants in foreign countries to see how they change up things for their own taste. We tried 4 different fast food places, and all but one was pretty gross. KFC, McDonalds, and Pizza Hut, all didn't agree with my North American sensibilities at all. Maybe the changes were too much, but I didn't like them. The only chain that worked for me was Subway, and when we ordered we avoided any fresh vegetables (because it's a developing country). If you're going to get fast food in India, go local. Visit a Dahba or any street food vendor for some great local flavour. As I said above, you do have to make sure that everything's cooked, and even then you're taking a bit of a risk. But when the risk pays off in India, it pays off so well that's it's worth a few bad nights on the porcelain throne.

Candy Critic Dessert Club – A Classic Square - Rice Krispie Treats
at
9:00 AM
When I was a kid Rice Krispie Treats were a complete mystery to me. At the very least I completely misunderstood how they were made. I don't think my mother, or the media helped in my misunderstanding either. Until I was a teenager, I always assumed that Rice Krispie Treats were really complicated to make. Maybe they were easy to burn, or at the very least there must have been some kind of added ingredient that I was completely unaware of. The fact that Kellogg's started selling Rice Krispie Treats pre-made didn't help either. After all if they were easy to make, why sell them pre-made?
There is a little truth to this, there is a trick, however it's not a skill as much as an ingredient. The trick to making Rice Krispie Treats is butter, and best not to cut back on it. Butter is what keeps your marshmallows from sticking to everything, as well as adding just a slightly salty flavour, and this is a good thing. As any great dessert aficionado will tell you, to make sweeter better, add salt.
The ingredients:
About 20 large marshmallows
3 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
1.5 tablespoons of butter
This might prove to be a very short recipe, as I mentioned before, it's super easy. First coat a baking pan or pie plate with butter. Set this pan aside, you'll need it later. Now take the 1.5 table spoons of butter and melt it in a non-stick pot. Make sure to move the butter around, and try to coat the sides of the pot as well. Once the butter is melted, turn your stove to a medium to low heat. Add the marshmallows to the butter. This is probably the trickiest part of the whole recipe, stir the marshmallows. Keep stirring until your marshmallows go from 20 individual marshmallows into one giant glob. You want to be sure that there are no lumps left.
Once the marshmallows are melted, add the Rice Krispies. If for some reason you don't have, or don't like Rice Krispies, you can pretty much use any cereal you want. Even granola would work. Add the cereal to the marshmallow glob and turn off the heat. Stir the cereal into the marshmallow until it's evenly distributed. Now take the marshmallow/cereal mix and dump it into the buttered pan from earlier. With a wet spoon (or wet fingers) push the marshmallow cereal mixture into the pan. Once it's fairly level, let the Rice Krispie Treats cool, and voila, you're done.
To say that this recipe is fool proof is a bit of a lie. I've seen these fail twice, and once was by my hands. Keeping your heat low is the first important step. Marshmallows love to melt, but once they go past melting, they burn. So keep the heat low so you don't get to the burning stage. My failure with these happened with stale marshmallows. If you have marshmallows that have been sitting in your cupboard since the first Ghostbusters movie came out, they won't work. They'll just turn into a hot sticky brown, lumpy mess.
If you really hate marshmallows, some people use other sticky treats to make these. Caramel cubes would work well, so might some syrups. In fact a maple syrup square with granola might be pretty tasty. The trick in all cases is keep the temperature low, and make sure nothing burns. If you're using a liquid syrup (maple or otherwise) you may have to use a candy thermometer to make sure you don't overheat the syrup into a rock hard lump.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
That means that this week we're going to be posting a lot about this trip. First of all we're going to write up a post in this very blog giving you our overview of our culinary experiences. We hope to have that online this Thursday. We also managed to record a special on the road episode of Junk Fud On The Road at the end of our trip. We hope to have that edited and ready to go ASAP (we also owe you guys an episode of Junk Fud News from last month, which we'll record this week). We're also going to start posting 4.5 (I believe) episode series of Chris, Why Would You Eat That?!! this week, all about some of the strange (and even tasty) things we tried on this trip.
The one thing we're not giving you this week is Snack Facts, we're a little busy sorting through everything from our India trip, but it will be back next week for sure. But if you need a daily fix of us, I'm talking to you mom (and likely no one else), just like every other epic trip, we're ending this one with a review-a-thon. As you might have guessed, an all Indian candy review-a-thon. Speaking of which...
Today's first entry into our Indian review-a-thon is in a treat category that I didn't expect to find in the middle of summer in India, chocolate bars. I thought that considering this is one of the warmest countries in the world, that chocolate might be hard to find, but I was wrong. Indians love chocolate, and it's found all over the place. The big popular brand is Cadbury, as is demonstrated with today's review. Click here to read today's new review, and to keep up with our Indian review-a-thon you can follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, or just visit this page every day.

This Week In Candy
at
9:00 AM
Well we're still in India... I assume. Frankly I'm writing this in advance and I can only assume that we're in India having a good time. You probably know better than me since you can check our social media pages (Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr) and check if everything is going as well as I'd hoped.
Last week I told you all about the stuff we would and wouldn't be posting while we're gone, I'm assuming that everything is going to plan. I also assume that I've eaten too much food, and that I've been coned into eating food that's too hot. It's always like that in places that serve spicy foods, they tell you it's "not too hot", and then you end up scorching your insides. Worst of all is I'm too Canadian (polite) to spit it out, so I just suffer.
We'll be back soon with more tales to tell, for now you can enjoy a video of Indians trying American candies:
